History of the Park
With the blessing of the owner, the double lot at the corner of Springbrook Dr. and Sandra Ln. was nominated by neighbors in September 2011 for DeKalb County funding to purchase the land for a community garden and playground.
The county process for reviewing this request takes 6 months. The lot was purchased by the county in early 2013.
​Funding for garden and playground development is available through multiple sources, including the Greater Atlanta Community Foundation and the American Community Garden Association.
